✧ Why I Chose Aquamarine
An Aquamarine rests upon this Kitsuneko’s forehead.
Whenever I look at this stone,
I remember a story that has stayed with me
for nearly twenty years.
Back then,
I was selling gemstone jewelry in Ginza.
One day,
an elderly woman picked up an Aquamarine ring and asked,
“What does this stone symbolize?”
I answered,
“It is often said to represent compassion, love, and harmony between partners.”
She smiled warmly and replied,
“When we were young, we couldn’t afford much. So my husband gave me an Aquamarine ring as our wedding ring. Perhaps that’s why we’ve stayed happily together all these years.”
